CANADIAN SINGING ICON SHARES HER SESQUATCH
Toronto, July 27, 2017 – SESQUI revealed today that Susan Aglukark is the singer and recording star behind the final celebrity SESQUATCH – an online contest where participants guess the notable Canadians behind their digital avatar. While Aglukark is typically known for her rich vocals and powerful songwriting, she now joins an incredible list of Canadian celebrity “SESQUATCHES” like David Suzuki, Lainey “Gossip” Lui and Les Stroud who’ve joined the SESQUATCH party in celebration of Canada 150+.
A talented and beloved entertainer, Aglukark is a Juno-winning Inuk singer/songwriter, motivational speaker and performer who has received The Order of Canada, three Juno Awards, and was recently awarded the Governor General’s Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award.
Aglukark is one of several influential Canadians engaging audiences through GUESS THAT SESQUATCH. Each SESQUATCH reflects the participant’s ideas of home and identity. Aglukark’s SESQUATCH revealed that she once performed for Nelson Mandela and that her music was featured in an episode of Dawson’s Creek.
