“It’s natural dance, so what we think, what we feel, the level of spirituality, all of [this] turns into electricity in the brain, runs through the body, touches the nervous system and then the nervous system moves and shifts according to the cinema of who we are.”
– Margie Gillis
Dance is a way to tell a story and to share an experience. The following teacher support will help students consider how dance is used to share stories, how it plays an important part of many cultural traditions and what makes dance a vibrant part of the Canadian arts community.
